Outlook 2010 - Shared mailbox - "Cannot copy this folder because it may contain private items"

Hi guys,

Exchange 2007

Outlook 2010 Professional Plus (x86) (latest updates)

We are using a shared mailbox, the affected users have the Full access permission at the Exhange server. The problem occurs when they try to move items from folder to folder or subfolder to folder etc. Following message shines on the screen everytime: "Cannot copy this folder because it may contain private items".

Could somebody point me in the right direction?

Best regards,

Kenny

That doesn't help...

AFAIK you cannot login onto shared mailboxes

Ok I found the simple solution to this.

If your folders have subfolders, you cannot delete or move the top level folder. If you delete all the subfolders, it will let you move / delete the folder.

If you still cannot delete the folder and there are no subfolders, right click the folder and "Delete All". (As if you are deleting all the emails even if you see no emails in the folder.)
